Purpose Statement:

Discipling youth so that they may relate with God through the Bible, listen to the Holy Spirit, live out God’s ways in community, and continue in their relationship with Christ through knowledge and works for the rest of their lives. (Colossians 1:9-10)

Vision:

  • Pour into the youth at Bergen Park Church to help them reach their potential for their spiritual development
  • Provide the framework and worldview for a life-long commitment to Christ
  • Build a community that can rely on each other as we learn what it looks like to recognize Christ as Lord in all areas of life
  • Practice obedience through service to the community and body of Christ

Sunday School:

On Sunday mornings, we meet to focus on scripture and the basics of studying, understanding, and applying theologically the author’s original intent. Bring your bibles. You are going to need it. We are currently studying the book of James.

Youth Group [Elevate]:

On Sunday evenings, we meet from 6:30 to 8:30 for all students 6th to 12th grade. Through food, games, music, people, the bible, dialogue, worship and prayer, we seek to produce disciples that make disciples. Bring your bibles. Bring your friends. Prepare to grow close to Christ.

High School Night:

On Saturday evenings, the high schoolers meet at Brian’s home to spend time together, have theological conversations and to depend on each other for community and friendship. Contact Brian for more information

Study Night:

Every other Thursday night, come to BPC with your homework and a friend and plan on getting some work done. Brian’s in Seminary and has plenty of work to do, and so do you. Let’s get it done together. There will be plenty of food and space.

Mentors:

At BPC, we believe that through mentor relationships, a student’s faith can go through a catalyst and become something that would otherwise take years to reach. Mentor relationships can take a variety of forms, whether bible study, coffee, reading a book together, or even doing chores together. Through intentional time together, God works. Contact Brian if you want to be a mentor or to be mentored.

In addition to the weekly youth events, we also have a semi-annual retreat, a summer mission trip, and special events to invite friends to. Come find out how you can get to know Christ in a deeper way.
