“Be still and Know that I am God”

This was the theme of our fall retreat. There was not a lot of time for being still at the retreat, but it was full of times for the women who went on the retreat to get together. Whether over meals, shopping in Estes or at the snack fests, we all got to know each other better. New friendships were formed, old friendships strengthened.

During the Holiday season it is very hard to Be still. Yet, our journey with God always needs those quiet times. The Women Ministries has no desire to add to your schedule during this busy season.

Next year is a different story.

As a continuation of our Partnership groups, we would like to add “4 for the Lord” Groups. This will be a chance for 4 women to get together once a month for 4 months to study the Word, share lives and pray together. To kick it off we will be holding a Fellowship Brunch on Jan. 20th. We will have all the details by then and will be able to answer all questions.

The Fellowship Brunch is for all women, even if you are not interested in joining a group. It will be Jan. 20th, time to be determined. It will give us all a time of fellowship together.

There has been some interest expressed in a social time with a purpose. (The 20 something’s are especially pushing for a knitting class.) We also thought a cooking class might be fun. We need help planning these events. If you are interested in helping or just want to attend please let us know!

There is the spring retreat to start planning. We want to do another home, come as you can, retreat. It would be great to get a team together sometime in January and start the planning. The tentative date for the retreat is April 13th – 14th. If you are interested in helping out at the retreat, please let one of us know. If you want to attend, set these dates aside on your new calendars!

Finally, we are looking for new members to join our Women’s Ministry team. You must be a member of BPC to be on the team. We meet every other month. Our goal is to see the women of BPC grow in the Lord through fellowship and support from our women and our ministry. Pray about this and if you feel you would like to join, please contact one of us. If this feels overwhelming, we can always use your ideas or help on specific events. If you would like to help with the spring retreat, brunches, walks, spontaneous events, or have an idea for an event we would love your input and involvement.
