A Heart for Missions is a core value of Bergen Park Church. Jesus told us to go and make disciples of all nations. Therefore, we are committed to reaching out to our local and global communities through prayer, giving, and in personal service. Many opportunities are available and every person in our church family is encouraged to be involved!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Bergen Park Church actively reaches out to our local mountain community in many ways, including providing financial support and volunteers for the following Missions.
“We love because he first loved us.”
1 John 4:19

Diane Pulvermiller and Melanie Dewey
Bergen Park Church supports Diane Pulvermiller and Melanie Dewey as They Serve Romania Mercy Ministries in embracing youth from hard places and equipping them to thrive in every facet of life. They work with abandoned youth and their caregivers, primarily focused on young-adult orphans in western Romania. There they have a long-term, non-residential mission which began as a summer-camp program, and now provides skills training, leadership development, spiritual direction, and support through their Leadership Development Center, and long-term relationships, to help youth transition to young adulthood and realize their full potential in Romanian society. Their relationships with many of the youth span a decade or two and they value investment in individual lives.

These special boxes include such items as winter gloves, hair accessories, watches, stuffed animals, hygiene items, toys, clothing, school supplies, and games. After collecting for nine months, the church enjoys a huge packing party to prepare the boxes in a festive fellowship.
